Rehab Services:

Our patient care as a physician at the inpatient rehab facilities is similar to the hospital care. Patients at the rehab facilities are seen by a physician about 2-3 times a week. Rehabs do not require physicians to round daily.

Patients are usually transferred or discharged to rehab facilities from the hospital. Patients are required to stay in the facility until their needs are met. Patients who qualify for inpatient rehab services are the ones with acute stroke, fractures, needing long term IV antibiotics, gait imbalance, chronic wounds, post-surgical care etc.

Rehab services include:

  • Short term care.
  • Long term care.

Short term care:

  • Physical therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Speech therapy
  • Wound care
  • Administer IV antibiotics.

Long term care:
This is for our residents who do not meet short term care need. These residents need long term care. In other words they cannot participate in daily physical therapy sessions due to their medical condition.
